Wine Trails throughout the World

The seminar includes the history of wine, its place for world cultures as an intangible cultural heritage and the importance of this aspect for tourism, national and international wine market organization, education and career opportunities in this field.

Seyma Bas studied Chemical Engineering at Boğaziçi University and obtained her MBA with an emphasis on Luxury Brand Management, Food and Wine from INSEEC Business School in Bordeaux. She started her career focusing on international sales and took over the challenge of introducing Turkish Wines to different markets. She developed her experience in brand management in regions like Tuscany and Burgundy. Meanwhile she completed WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) Diploma program in London and she continues her journey as a Master of Wine Student which is known to be one of the hardest titles to gain in the world of wine. She regularly attends international wine competitions around the world as a Jury. Moreover, she writes about wine in her blog Dionysian Impulse (www.dionysianimpulse.net) which has been selected as the Best New Wine Blog in 2016. Today, she is based in Zurich; working on various projects through her company WineArt LLC with a young dynamic team. Apart from wine, she enjoys lindy hop and she is a big fan of Wim Wenders.
